每逢的農曆⒎月⒎日是中國的七夕情人節
比起外國的西洋情人節
更是獨獨専專指著「愛情」
因為外國的情人節
原旨是人與人互愛
親情、友情或愛情
並非只限於男女之情
但是 中國的七夕情人節
則是描述一個淒美浪漫的愛情故事
傳說古時候有個善良的年輕人
名叫牛郎。
他的父母早逝 跟著兄嫂過活
刻薄的嫂子常常欺負他
最後還唆使兄弟二人分家
自己佔據了土地和房屋
只把一條老牛分給牛郎
這條老牛卻不是一般的牛
而是天上的金牛星變的
它因為觸犯了玉王大帝的天條
被玉帝扁到凡間為牛
它看見善良的牛郎受人欺負
就決定要幫助他
有一天
它突然開口告訴牛郎
東邊的山下有一個湖
每天黃昏會有七個仙女下到這個湖裹洗澡
只要牛郎偷走其中的一件衣裳
那個仙女無法返回天宮
就會留下來作他的妻子
聽了老牛的話
牛郎果然偷偷藏起其中一位仙女的衣裳
等到仙女們洗完澡要回天宮時
年紀最小的織女才發現自己的衣裳不見了
急得哭了起來
這時牛郎捧著她的衣裳出現
要求織女答應作他的妻子才把衣裳還給她
織女看牛郎忠厚老實
便含羞的答應了
兩人成親后生了一對子女
男耕女職
生活十分幸福美滿
但那頭忠心的老牛死了
死前它告訴牛郎
在它死後剝下它的皮
遇到困難時 就會派上用場
織女嫁給牛郎的消息傳回去天庭後
玉王大帝大為震怒
就派王母娘娘下凡去捉織女回來
牛郎回家后看不到織女
急得和兩個孩子放聲痛哭
忽然之間想起了老牛的叮囑
就披上牛皮
用一檐籮筐挑兩個孩子
飛快的追趕王母娘娘及織女
靠著牛皮的神奇魔力
牛郎飛也似的追上他們
這時 王母娘娘心中一急
就拔下頭上的金簪子
往地上一劃
馬上出現了一道波濤洶湧的天河
把牛郎和織女分隔兩邊
牛郎和一雙兒女站在河邊大哭
哭聲震動了玉王大帝
他一看兩個孩子很可憐
就叫他們全家每年七月七日相會一次
每年到了七夕
就有無數的喜鵲飛上天去
搭成了一座鵲橋
讓牛郎 織女一家人渡河相會
據說每年的七夕 人間的喜鵲就會變少
因為他們都飛上天去搭橋了
而且 一過了七夕
喜鵲頭上的毛都會掉落
就是因為七夕去搭橋的緣故
據說七夕當天晚上會下雨
這時牛郎織女重逢后喜極而泣的淚水
這就是七夕情人節的由來(:

A long time ago, when heaven and earth were still close to each other, the fairies in the heaven would occasionally came down on earth to play. Down here on earth, there was a cowherd. He was a poor man and his only possession was a cow. He lived a peaceful life but was very lonely.
Because the cow had sensed his loneliness, one day it spoke to him. The cow said that the daughters of Jade Emperor of Heaven, which also known as Weaving Maidens, like to bathe in the river close to the cliff. All the cowherd has to do was to steal one of the outfits when themaidens were taking a bath. Then, whichever maiden that lost her outfit will stay and become his wife.
Because the cow had sensed his loneliness, one day it spoke to him. The cow said that the daughters of Jade Emperor of Heaven, which also known as Weaving Maidens, like to bathe in the river close to the cliff. All the cowherd has to do was to steal one of the outfits when themaidens were taking a bath. Then, whichever maiden that lost her outfit will stay and become his wife.
They lived happily together for ten years and have two kids together.

One of the maiden's jobs was weaving the celestial cloth in heaven; however, after she left the color of the cloud stayed the same. Because of this reason, the Mother of the West was furious.
As punishment, she banished the maiden back to heaven. As the queen tried to prevent the cowherd from following, she took the maiden's hair pin and tore the sky, which created a Great River (also known as the Milky Way) in the sky to keep them separate.
Since then, the maiden sat on one side of the river weaving the cloth with tear in her eyes, and the cowherd raising their kids on the other side of the river. Over the time, this story was heard by the Jade Emperor, out of sympathy he let the family to meet each other on July 7 of every year.
